There is no paper large enough for me to express in words my feelings about Lila.
We were close friends during her years in Greensboro, NC. I met Lila when I took one of her courses in flower arranging and we immediately connected. After that is was one party after another a the Fish residence. No matter what season of the year, Lila found a reason to have a gathering and that makes for the many happy memories that are brought to mind - at this time too many to count!
It happens that my husband and Linc had the same employer so that added to the combination that it takes to make friends one never forgets.

Lila was a great person.
I still can think of when I did something stupid as a 5-6 year old, playing with my dump trucks, and filling them up with dirt, and then pushing them down to Mr. Fish's car and filling up his gas tank for him. That didn't go over well. I thought for sure I would be banned from the Fish's house for sure,b ut nope she let me slide on that one, god bless her heart.

We are very saddened to learn about the passing away of Ma Fish.
During my 10 years in Columbus --1971 to 1980 -- those holidays at the Fish-pond were the sweetest memories I have treasured since completing my studies.
I have learned so many things from both Pa and Ma Fish during those visits which helped me well during all these years.
Our subsequent visits were very few due to the distance -- though equally memorable.
One special visit:
When Pa and Ma Fish were vacationing in Rhode Island back in 1981 --they visited us in Connecticut and
my parents were with us/ The whole evening was full of funny stories about me --though my parents
spoke no English! Speaks volume of how Ma Fish communicated as a family.
Trishala joins me in conveying our warm regards to Pa Fish.

I never knew any Mother who was more devoted to her family and friends than Lila. She was special, and she made all of us feel special.

Dear Link and Family,
I have wonderful memories that Cas and I shared with both you and Lila. She was certainly the "hostess with the mostest"! Never knew a stranger and had a welcoming heart. I know she is greatly missed by you and your family. Live with all the wonderful memories. They will help you smile again.
My condolences. Love to you, Rob and Carol. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
Your Guest Book comments won't be posted on the web site until one of us can look at it and make sure it isn't by an automated robot or someone trying to sell dad a vacation resort in Columbia.
